First Houston Shogi Club meeting complete; others planned
Yesterday, we had our first Shogi club meeting. We had a lot of curious people that came by and got a copy of the rules. Hopefully, some of you are reading this now. :-) We had a number of people sign up to get information about future Houston Shogi Club activities. And there was one person that learned all the rules and played several games of Shogi. All in all, I think it was an exciting start to the Houston Shogi club.
We have future meetings planned. They will be at the same place, i.e. Barbara Bush Library (6817 Cypresswood Drive; Spring, TX 77379) from 2-4 PM on the following dates: June 22, July 20, and August 10. Be sure and stop by if you are interested in Shogi (Japanese Chess).
